Almost Love

I left the house one night last week, leaving Brad with all of the kids except for Silas. Carson took full advantage of my absence when she decided to get herself a snack. At first glance, Brad thought she was drinking milk from a bowl using a spoon. Turns out it was sugar. Lots and lots of sugar.

Of course, Brad got upset with her and, seeking his love and approval, she said, "I love you Daddy." Undoubtedly she had that teary, wide-eyed look of innocence.

He replied, "I love you too, with all my heart, my precious girl."

"Well, Daddy, I barely love you!"
